Andrew Jansen Van Vuuren was nominated as Chairman of the Somerset West Ratepayers Association and has over 40 years of business experience.
He served 18 years in the South African Defense Force as an officer.
He spent 4 years as an academic representative on the Tshwane University of Technology board after completing his studies in organizational behavior.
Andrew has been active in business and politics at all levels throughout this period.
He is currently a businessman, using his skills in an advisory capacity.
As Chairman, he motivates individuals, civic organizations, and businesses to join and register with the Somerset West Ratepayers Association to strengthen their voice at the bargaining table concerning rates, taxes, services and environmental issues.
